Dear ITS members and partners,

Hi everyone, I’m Philip Tseng.

First of all, thank you for your trust and support. Starting today, August 15, 2026, I am officially taking on the role of President of ITS Taiwan. Moving forward, I’m truly honored to walk this path with all of you as we take on our next big mission together.

ITS Taiwan has built such a strong foundation and international reputation over the years. That’s all thanks to the dedication and hard work of our past presidents, board members, and every single one of you. Everything you’ve done has paved the way for Taiwan’s intelligent transportation industry and our connection to the world.

A special thanks goes to President Shih. During his term, he brought together Taiwan’s industry, government, academia, and research sectors, together with full support from MOTC and Taipei government, we landed the hosting rights to host the 2029 ITS World Congress in Taipei. This is not just a massive milestone for our association, it’s something all of Taiwan can be proud of.

Winning the bid was just the beginning. The real work starts right now!

The 2029 World Congress will put us right in the global spotlight. Showcasing what Taiwan can do in intelligent transportation system, AI applications, smart city management, digital transformation, and ICT technology isn’t just a job for our association, it’s something Taiwan shall all share.

So, I want to warmly invite every member and partner to keep building on what our past leaders have set up, and carry forward the great team spirit we built when applying for the 2029 World Congress.

Going forward, it doesn’t matter if you’re from the public or private sector, academia, research, or what your specific role is. Every bit of expertise, every resource, and every single idea counts. They are all essential ingredients to making 2029 a huge success.

This isn’t just another event on our calendar. It’s our chance to show the world what Taiwan is made of.

I truly believe that if we put our heads together, stay united, and bring our best to the table, we can pull off a world-class event—one that earns global respect, makes Taiwan proud, and makes us all honored to be part of ITS Taiwan.

This isn’t just about our current team’s goal; it’s a legacy we’re building for the next generation.

So, let’s build on the past, get on the same page, stand united, and give it our all to write this exciting new chapter together!
